Easter Sunrise Service Celebrates Resurrection at Dawn

North Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites the community to gather at first light on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 6:00 AM for a beautiful outdoor Sunrise Service on the church patio.

As the first rays of morning light break through the darkness, worshippers will come together to celebrate the joy and promise of the resurrection. Surrounded by the beauty of creation and accompanied by the serene sounds of guitar and flute, this early morning service offers a peaceful and inspiring way to begin Easter Sunday.

The outdoor setting reflects the spirit of that first Easter morning, when the women arrived at the tomb at dawn and discovered it empty. In word, prayer, and song, the congregation will proclaim the central truth of the Christian faith: the tomb is empty, and hope has the final word.

This meaningful sunrise gathering invites all to embrace the wonder of new life in Christ and to celebrate the light that overcomes every darkness.

“Whether you’ve walked this journey of faith for a lifetime or you’re simply searching for a glimmer of hope, I invite you to come and stand with us at sunrise,” said Rev. Christopher Wurpts. “In that first light of Easter morning, we are reminded that resurrection is for everyone — and there is a place for you in this story.”
