North Scottsdale United Methodist Church Invites Community to Celebrate Easter with Traditional Worship and Family Fun
Sunday, April 5 | 8:00 AM & 10:00 AM
North Scottsdale United Methodist Church (NSUMC) warmly invites the community to celebrate Easter Sunday on April 5 with two worship services at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, along with a special Easter Scavenger Hunt designed just for children.
Held in the NSUMC sanctuary, each service will reflect the reverence and joy of Easter morning. Worshippers will be inspired by scripture, a meaningful Easter message, and the triumphant sounds of brass, timpani, and the Chancel Choir, creating a powerful proclamation of the resurrection and the hope it brings to the world.
During the 10:00 AM service, children will be dismissed shortly after worship begins to participate in an Easter Scavenger Hunt with their Sunday School teachers. Hundreds of eggs filled with scripture-centered surprises will be hidden on the church playground, offering a joyful and faith-filled experience that connects the celebration of Easter with the story at its heart.
Families are encouraged to come together in the spirit of Psalm 118:24 — “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” — embracing the gift of resurrection with grateful hearts and renewed faith as they gather in worship and community.
“This is a day of renewal and rebirth, and there is room for everyone in the celebration,” said Rev. Christopher Wurpts. “On Easter morning, we rejoice in the love of God through Christ — a love that brings hope, new beginnings, and resurrection life to us all.”
Please note that the nursery for children ages two and under will be available during both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services. Families are warmly invited to worship together in the sanctuary; nursery care is also available and led by an experienced and caring nursery educator for those who prefer it.
Throughout the year, North Scottsdale United Methodist Church offers traditional Sunday services, weekly Bible studies, Sunday school classes for all ages, youth group activities, choir opportunities, retreats, mission trips, Vacation Bible School, holiday events, and more.
